Meet The Makers
Tamila and Mykola Vashchuk are the founders of Sunflower Gourmet, a family-owned brand bringing a refined, modern take on Eastern European cuisine to Northeast Ohio.

Originally from Kyiv, Ukraine, they bring generations of culinary tradition into a contemporary, elevated format. Their signature pierogi are known for their delicate dough, crafted using a unique European technique, and thoughtfully developed fillings in collaboration with a Michelin Guide–recognized Ukrainian chef.

At Sunflower Gourmet, pierogi are reimagined — elegant, expressive, and bold in flavor. If pierogi wore a black tie, these would be the ones.

Introducing our Maker Series Cooking Classes, which are all about gathering in the kitchen with the local makers we love. In these intimate classes, you’ll learn authentic recipes, cook with their products, and hear the stories behind them. It’s a hands-on, relaxed experience that brings a little more connection—and a lot of flavor—to the table.
